I felt bad about it, but I ended up saying no this week when I was asked to help chaperone my daughter’s class field-trip to Champoeg Park today. Ordinarily I would have loved to go, and would have jumped at the chance, but my husband has been sick all last week, and I’m afraid I have gotten a version of what he had because I feel not so well and tired alot. Tiredness, which almost always means an increase in MS symptoms in my legs and feet. 😦
I think fatigue and lack of good sleep is one of the main triggers for my MS. I can be doing pretty decent considering, most of the time, but the second that I’ve overused my energy limit, I can pretty much guaruntee a couple days of worse symptoms. I also find it curious that with that in mind, it is also the days that I forget the vitamins B & D3 that I am worse off.
I really want to be able to do these things with my kids classes, but I don’t think it can be on a day where I am already worn down. Here’s hoping for next time…
It’s so good that you were able to put yourself first. Your family will ultimately benefit greatly for it. I hope you feel better soon!!
